Root Stuck..... Help me please..

Im trying to root t mobile lg g stylo 6.0, i am so new to this stuff im super lost.
I have downloaded Supersu (No idea what to do with file or where to put it do i unzip it???)(also i tried putting zipped and unzipped file in my android sd card directory and it made no difference)
I have downloaded adb and fastboot (Already installed)
I have also downloaded Recovery.img and moved it into my adb folder with the adb and fastboot plus .dll's
I have oem unlocking and usb debugging checked on my phone and my computer does have access to phone but when i open CMD and run "Adb devices" nothing at all pops up.....
Please please please help me..
 
By the way i want to say i appreciate all the support and work you all do to keep this community up and running its amazing, and i appreciate it very much thank you..

ADB in my c drive directory with Recovery.img in the same folder...

Okay, first make sure you understand you risk bricking your device.

Once you are okay with that start over again by reviewing the root tmobile mm thread.

I would suggest downloading all needed files into a single folder. Name it whatever you like.

The SU zip file needs to go (unzipped) to external SD card on your stylo.

Following the root instructions, when you use cmd go to the folder you created (example cd newfolder) this should contain all files downloaded. You should be able to follow steps and see adb and fastboot responses from this point.
