Help Stuck in a 'please sign in using one of the owners accounts for this device' loop

Hi,

My Mum just gave me a Samsung J5, I factory reset it and wiped the cache.

I correctly entered my password and 2-step verification, as well as confirmed it was my device via email, yet it takes me back to the sign in page again....

Any ideas as to how to solve this one?

You need to enter your mums password.

I will try it, she lives on a different continent but will get in touch.

I presume I can then add my own account and delete hers, is that correct?

Hi

Wait 24 hours after the Factory reset.

Enter your mom's email ID and password to open the device.

Then,go to settings> account> Google>
Account owner> 3 dot menu>remove account.

Return settings> account> add account
Select Google and add New account.

Restart device.

It's called Factory Reset Protection (FRP). It's an added layer of security for lost or stolen devices.

A good idea once inside. Do as @Parayilhussain says, but I would go the extra step of performing a factory reset from the Settings>Backup and Reset menu.
This will erase all accounts and reset FRP.
