Stuck on 3G after JB update and using Phone info app

Basically I am unable to log into LTE after using the Phone Info app to force a 3g connection. On ICS I was able to switch back between LTE and 3G without a problem. With JB the phone is stuck on 3G and won't go back to LTE.

I did a 'google search' and found others with the same issue here: Stuck on 3G after Jelly Bean upgrade! - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com

One fix (for other versions of the S3) seems to be going into settings/more settings/mobile networks/ and choosing LTE directly from there. Unfortunately this option is not available on the Metro version of the S3.

So what are my options? Is a factory reset the only way?

Try this: Download the app anycut then go to IOTHiddenMenu then from there try LTE Mode Menu then enable lte mode

Ok, I've restored access to LTE by doing a factory reset. As you can imagine, it was definitely kind of a pain. For now I'm going to uninstall the 'phone info' app, and I recommend that everyone else on an S3 with JB do the same.

We'll have to find some other way of enabling 3G and 4G, I suppose.

Well, I'd say about 95% of us won't being doing anything to get us throttled on FoGee! and Need to purposely go to 3G...

Your looking in the wrong section and by mentioning jellybean i already know your on a gs3 so why not come to our section where most of these questions are already answered but anyways heres a thread where i helped some1 make his own toggle using an app called quickshortcut creator which is free and works better than any cut and any cut doesn't work on jellyebean so its the next best option.

I just tried Quickshortcut and it worked great. I was able to create a network toggle shortcut that works with JB. Thank you!
