Help Stuck on 4.4.2 S5

Atiom

Lurker
Been stuck on 4.4.2 KitKat although we've reached Marsh mellow; wanted Lollipop update since release and it's annoyed me ever since. Any help?

Bought this phone from Amazon back in 2014 from Samsung, though the phone claims to have the firmware in Lebanon

I've looked at the releases and firmware releases, though apparently 4.4.2 is the highest lebanon reached. Please help, as I have reached the end of my tether and will most likely buy a new phone if I can't get this to work.

Is the phone rooted? If so did you do it manually or with a program? Many rooting tools have built in "OTA blocks" that block automatic updates so that you don't unexpectedly lose root. That's all I got.

You have the international model of Galaxy S5, G900F, with a Lebanon Product code, LEB. This Product code has not been updated by Samsung since firmware release NL1, which you are on, for Android 4.4.2.

Your only option is to download an alternative stock Samsung firmware for, say, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia or, if you do not live in the Middle East... you could flash the U.K. or Nordic Countries stock firmware, all of which have an English language pack.
