Root Stuck on RC29 need to upgrade to Froyo

I root my phone to the RC29, but I can get my phone to download needed apps from the market. Market says in the search that it can't find things like linda file manager. I have another G1 phone that is not rooted, can I download the files need onto the SD card there and transfer them over to the rooted phone

Have you actually rooted the phone or just managed to downgrade the firmware?

Do you have Amon_Ra recovery installed?

What guide did you follow to 'root' your phone?

I have Amon_Ra downloaded but I can get it to install.

Hmm.. Just took a quick look at that guide. It was written in 2009 (and I am not familiar with it).

Have you looked at the rooting guide / sticky in this subforum?

I'll be around for the next couple of hours if you need advice
