Man, this application is so awesome....... simple but what a great way to study. Anyway, does anyone know if the flashcards are stored on the sdcard or the phone? I found a folder on the sdcard named studydroid, but using Astro it looks like the folder is empty. Anyone?

As far as I know they are stored on the phone, I have never been able to find the decks on my SD card despite having that folder as well. I did have some cards with pics on them and those pics showed up in that folder though. If you have a log in for the website, all of your decks will be saved there in case of a phone crash or something.

StudyDroid: FlashCards for your Android G1

I would recommend making a log in as someone may have already made a deck you need/want. Also it can be easier sometimes to make a deck and then download it to your phone which is really fast and simple.

Not bad, but I wish it would keep track of how many times you got each card right/wrong vs. just letting you toggle the card as "known."

I have gWhiz+ on my Droid and, while not as full-featured as it is on the iPhone, it is nice, because it lets me mark the card as right/wrong and keeps statistics each time I go through the deck. Also, once you go through a deck it allows you to view all the cards you missed plus a few that you got right the next time through until you get them all down.

The downside of gWhiz+, though, is that you cannot make decks within the app on the phone itself. Right now it's limited to using Google Docs spreadsheets to make flash cards and submitting it to gWhiz, at which point they will upload the cards to their server for you to download.

I agree it is a great app to use. I only ran into one problem that I still cant figure out. I had spent many hours creating a set of flash cards. I then decided to root the phone. I did not wipe, I kept all my data.... so I thought. I went back to studydroid and found they were all gone. About 5 hours down the drain. I still think it's a great app, I just need to find a way to back it all up.

Create the cards online/on the computer. It's easier and usually goes a little faster. Then save them to your account on the studydroid website. Then go on your phone and your phone can pull from your account. Now if something happens to your phone or you get a new one, you can just log into your account via your phone and redownload the deck to your phone.
