Help stupid default apps...

I just got my new devour last week and love it, but I hate all these defalt apps that clutter up my pull down menu and that keep starting themselves and sucking my memory. I have advanced task killer, but it seems they restart as soon as I kill them. Any tricks or do I have to root. And if so, is this possible?

If you have apps that aren't shutting down properly, I would look for apps to replace them or delete them all together. If you use the back softkey to exit an app then there should be no need for a task killer... If apps are showing up in your pull down menu, there is usually a menu option within that app to remove it from your notification bar. My overall suggestion would be to ditch the task killer, and all the apps that do not shut down properly. Find replacement apps that are coded properly if their functionality is important for you.

ive read articles that say using an app killer too often runs against how the android os works, your phone learns which programs you use and how and when to shut them down, if you use an app killer often itll slow it down over time as your phone will be unfamiliar with your usage habits, i keep an app killer on hand for when im running dozens of things all at once but only use it rarely
