stupid fake lock screen

my brother has downloaded a loack screen app wich has a pattern on it to unlock my device but he forgot it and there is no option for 'forgot pattern' and when i try swiupe down from the top i cant do it because its disabled and i cant turn off the device to force reset. i cant do *ANYTHING* at all with out the pattern...... usb debugging is not enabled. any tips please..?

You should be able to force a simulated battery pull by holding power and volume down together for about 20 seconds, this should turn the device off.

If the app loads on boot, you'll probably need to boot to safe mode and remove it from there. You can boot in to safe mode by turning off and holding volume down and power to turn it back on.
