Stutter with USB Type-C to HDMI adapter

I have a Cube Mix Plus and an Anble 5-port type-C adapter. I plugged my Cube Mix Plus into my computer monitor via the Anble and HDMI, expecting it to work properly due to the mostly good reviews on Amazon. Everything works except for the HDMI; the screen is stuttering! I can't live with that!

What's going on? Why am I getting a stuttering screen? Is it the type-C adapter or is it something else? How can I fix this?

Check it's set to the correct resolution and refresh rate for your monitor.

FWIW it's a bit unusual that this particular Windows 10 China tablet doesn't seem to have a direct HDMI video out. Most devices like this do, that you can just plug a HDMI cable in and it goes direct to monitor or TV, rather than having to use special USB adapters with them.

Actually, I had it sit in in a 6-device docking station with charging and that seemed to be causing the stuttering, even with the HDMI to DVI adapter. It's working fine, now. I just have to remember not to put it in the 6-device docking station while the type-C adapter is plugged in.

Why does it happen? I don't have the type-C adapter plugged into the 6-device docking station; it's plugged into another power adapter with USB-PD. I'm getting a non-powered docking station to put my devices in, instead.
