Suddenly unable to log Contacts and SMS

Hi
I am a MAC user an since about a month ago I am unable to use the various software allowing me to export my LOGs (contacts, SMS, and more).
Yet my phones (Both Galaxy 7 and 5) work perfectly with the standard Android File Transfer app and export whatever this app allows to export.
My other application MobiKin Assistant for Android, and MobiKin Transfer for Mobile instead keeps asking me to enable the the developer option. I tried almost every software for Mac which should log these files and none works. How is this possible?
This happens in both phones and with various systems on my macs from Snow Leopard until Sierra with the same results.
Mobikin just told me to update the programs but even upgrading to the latest version there are no changes in this error.
Could it be because of some updates in Android or in certain apps I use.
I really worry as I need to rescue some contacts I did not save and some SMS and Android File Transfe doesnt allow me to do so
Any help will be great

Since both Android File Transfer and Mobikin are essentially doing the same tasks, I'd suspect there's something of a conflict for system resources (probably ports) on your Mac. Don't know how customizable either of those two utilities are but check the Settings/Preferences menu in each and see if there's any option to change which ports they use and make sure both are using different ones.
