I'm a newbie to Android, I have an Android application project which is relating with tourism. One of my modules, System Administration, which will be built in desktop based. That means in my desktop based application in PC will be having a server database. I need my Android application can retrieve the data from the server database. Question is, is there anyone has any idea what kind of server database I can use? And what kind of development tools is appropriate to build a desktop based application in PC?
