Firstly I would like to say hello to everyone on this forum, as I am new here ...
I have had a Cyclone X2 / ATV1200 for a while now running Geniatech firmware to some success.
Yesterday I took the plunge to have this box 100% XBMC and do away with all the Android stuff as its no longer used or needed, but during the flash I had a power interruption and has basically bricked the box.
After doing a lot of reading I am thinking that this can be recovered by flashing the box by using a PL2303HX USB Transfer to TTL RS232 Serial Port Adapter Cable ? I can get one of these cables fairly cheaply and perform this myself with some confidence. The problem I have is working out where I attach the 4 cables to the motherboard, I would attach a photo of the motherboard, but as a new user I am not allowed. There are 3 sockets on the motherboard, all with different amount of pins. There is a 2 pin socket, next to that is a 6 pin socket. Near the bottom of the motherboard there is a 4 pin socket which is marked J21, I am assuming that the 4 pin socket is the one I use to attach the PL2303HX USB Transfer to TTLRS323 cable ??
Can anyone help with my problem ??
