Sunrise Calendar trouble

Apologies if this has been covered already.
I installed this app on my Samsung and it's making me add an account from a list of stuff.
Do I have to?
If not, how do I get around it?

I think you do. I tried it once, saw that it wanted me to make an account with them to use it and deleted it.

That was before Microsoft bought it, so things might have changed (but probably not)
