SLCD ~= AMOLED
SAMOLED > Most Everything.
That might help a bit.
The only problem is that your statement is not true. Examples:
The Droid 1's display features true 24-bit color, RGB color accuracy within 2% of perfect (ever so slightly under saturated), decent contrast of about 1k (true contrast), and respectable response time and viewing angles. It truly is an excellent display, not just mobile.
The AMOLED on the Incredible is 16-bit color, RGB is grossly oversaturated (30%+), which gives it that vibrant look, ungodly contrast, and near perfect response time and viewing angles.
SLC is 18-bit, grossly over saturated to make it look like AMOLED (over 30%), decent contrast at best but not as good as the Droid's, respectable response time and viewing angles.
If you're going for accurate picture quality, it's:
Droid LCD > SAMOLED > AMOLED > SLCD
If you're going for a vibrant picture, it's:
SAMOLED > AMOLED > SLCD > Droid LCD
I'll take the Droid, but I know a lot of people are in love with the over saturated AMOLED look of today.
