SuperAmoled on a Moto phone!

Wow I didnt think Moto could top the Galaxy Nexus but with SuperAmoled and 7.1mm in thickness this phone is sick. Glad I waited and didnt get the Bionic or switched carriers to get the Samsung Galaxy S2. Now to wait and see what Samsun unveils later tonight. :)

yea exciting times for Droid lovers that is for sure. I'm just going to have to hold it and the G-Nex in my hand before I decide (and the Vigor/Rezound)

I've taken the Vigor off my list for now. It's between the Nexus and the RAZR. I won't bother going into all of my criteria until after the Nexus announcement.

not to mention that monster battery they crammed in there.

That may be what sways me one way or another. It is going to come down to which has the best battery and brightest display at Christmas time. I'll hold onto my Original Incrediible until then.

Yes the Galaxy Nexus/Razr are the two front runners in my book. Pre-orders for Razr begin next week!!!!

The most interesting spec on Razr to me is advanced qHD SAMOLED. It looks like it could be non-pentile RGB stripe pixels like SAMOLED+. It's interesting that this screen must be from Samsung but they never put qHD SAMOLED+ in their phones yet.

It is PenTile by definition. Samsung lists the specs as;
Super AMOLED - PenTile
Super AMOLED Plus - RGB

However, Samsung's PenTile OLED displays look MUCH better than the LCD PenTile displays we're used to. My OG Incredible in an OLED PenTile, and looks fine. By comparison, I have two friends that have LCD PenTile screens (Bionic, X2), and they look horrible. You shouldn't be disappointed by the screen on the RAZR. The new Nexus will also have a PenTile display.

Plus side also is the device display MIGHT have the "best" of both worlds: Amoled clarity and clear view outside in sun.

I think that part remains to be seen for Razr. Not all the pentile screens are the same. SAMOLED uses RGBG sub pixels while pentile LCD in recent Moto phones uses RGBW sub pixel layout. That's why it gets bright white, good visibility outdoors. I think Razr screen will look fine enough outdoors, but not close to Bionic screen.
