Superpad VI problem with connecting to PC

Anyone help. I have a Superpad VI which I boought for my nephew. I don't have WiFi access at home as I use a 3G dongle connected to my PC. I try and attach the Superpad to the PC via USB to try and download apps but the PC does not recognise it.

Can anyone advise how to connect to the PC and also whether I will be able to download apps to it via a PC.

I have an Experia Arc phone and don't have any problems downloading apps through my PC.

The model number is MID with 2.3 android loaded.
