Can someone tell me how to transfer my photos in my gallery to Quick Pics? Also, several have the chrome and Picasso logos on them. Will I be able to transfer them as well?

You shouldn't have to, they should just be visible when you open the quickpic app.

I take it this isn't happening?

Well, what's there are still numerous images in my gallery. But I see that the wi-fi transfer circle has been spinning for awhile (I have tons of pics in my gallery that I can't seem to erase several I'd like to.) Should I just wait for that wi-fi transfer circle to stop spinning?

Picasa used to keep the thumbnails even if you deleted the pictures. The photos would not be on your phone. If Picasa still does that, then Quickpik could be trying to download thumbnails of non-existent photos.

Can you hook your phone to a computer and download photos as media?
If so, then you should be able to sort out just the JPGS and transfer them. Thumbnails have a different extension.

The other possibility is download only so many at a time.

You shouldn't need to. QuickPic is capable of scanning all images on your device, and in my experience it does so automatically.

If something is missing, you can open QuickPic, go to its settings and Add a folder manually, but you shouldn't need to.

P.S. Welcome to the forum :)

Thanks Hadron. I'm currently seeing the wi-fi

Hi

Open quickpic
menu
settings
browse

There you can define which folders it displays

I don't see any menu, settings or browse when I press the Quick pic icon/logo. I just get directed back to my existing Google acct. asking if I want to add an account

Where did you get Quickpik? Did it come on your phone or did it come with a browser? Is your phone from a carrier?

I ask, as I once had a Samsung carrier branded phone and there were extra icons for apps you had to sign up for or install. The icons were just links. Do you have another photo storage program on your phone?

If you downloaded it from Play, the icon should open the program.

You can get Quickpic from either Play or Amazon.

I have run across programs that install icons on the home screen that you either need to download or subscribe to.

I've had Facebook icons on a desktop. If you clicked on the icon, it took you to a signup page for Facebook. I have no intention of using FB on the phone and deleted the icon.

TMobile had Doubletwist, a music app that would turn itself on to search for a connection. You had to sign up for it even to delete it. The icons were not functioning.

I'm thinking the OP might have had a trial icon and not the full app, or a download that got corrupted.

While Quickpic is free, you still have to get it from either Play or Amazon.

I got QuickPic from Google play. And I don't have a phone, I have a galaxy 2 digital camera. Quick pic app is free and I installed in on my camera. But when I open it I see several of my photos. But I also see the wi-fi transfer circle spinning so I don't know if all my photos are downloaded yet.
