SW:The old republic worth playing?

I ordered a copy on Amazon the other day 'cuz I got a really good deal. Now I'm hearing the community there is gradually dieing and it may not be worth playing. Is that true at all?
 
somewhat. but then again it's gotten more lively with free xfers to/from certain servers. it's between swtor and D3 atm.
