Help "SW update is waiting for wi-fi connection"

Greetings,

I have had this message for the last day or so. My phone does have a connection. I don't know what it is waiting for? Has this happened to anyone else?

new droid user here :)
 
Hello and welcome to the droid forums. Can I ask what are you looking for the android to do. Are you doing a update to the software.

No, Last night it just automatically started this update. I waited a while and nothing happened. I turn off my phone at night and when I turned it back on this morning it kicked back on to SW update - it looks like it just waiting to connect [0 / 201.6 MB] but I know my phone is connected. Everything else is functional - I have been able to get calls, texts and mail - it just is waiting... It's just sort of weird
 
Keep in mind a large amount of data needs to be put aside no one to use it takes 25min to update
Sometimes its better to update overnight wee hours of the morning
 
Have you tried using kies or if you have a computer you can update with a few minutes and following the directions . All you need is your correct firmware
