Swapping my S Advance GT i9070 8gb for Galaxy Nexus 8gb? Opinions? :( (Filipino here)

Well I've been planning to swap my 1 month used S Advance GT i9070 for a Brand New 8gb Galaxy Nexus from a untrusted store at GreenHills. The jellybean update rumours for GT i9070 might not be true and if it's true it will be months, if there will be a official announcement from samsung will i guess i'll stick with GT i9070 but for now i doubt the other sources that release the skipping ics update to jellybean. So what do you think? Should i go for it or should i just wait for the update for my current phone? I doubt the Galaxy Nexus cause i've already looked everywhere but all i can find are untrusted shops that sells a Galaxy Nexus and i don't have any idea if it's already available here in philippines. So any suggestions? :( Thanks!

Smart has an exclusive right to sell the GNex in the Philippines, that's why you can't find it in reputable stores. GNex is a better phone than the advance, except that there is no card slot for more memory. 8GB is sll you have.

If only smart has this phone then why do greenhills' shops have it? Should i go for the swap thing or just stick with my S Advance? THANKS! BTW how about the Jellybean rumours? Any idea about the release date if it's true?

Because the greenhills shops get their phones from unofficial distributors. Do you notice why MemoXpress, Hello, Wellcomm, Globe, Mega, (The bigger cellphones stores) all do not offer the GNex? Because of Smart's contract. The Greenhills people won't be sued by Smart anyway, tatakbo lang yan at lilipat.

No release date. All I know is that its not a rumor because its an announcement by Samsung UK, and that it will be released after release of the Note II, probably a month after release, at least.

Depends on your usage. If 8GB is enough for you, get the Nexus. Its faster, smoother and more powerful. But if you need more memory, either stick to the Advance or get a Nexus with bigger memory (16GB or 32gb).

If you have used S Advance and someone wants to swap his/her brandnew galaxy nexus here in philippines (8gb) will you say yes? :D So what do you think? :)

Isee. Well i regret spending my money for S Advance cause i don't know that Galaxy Nexus price and S advance are the same here in Phil :( So if i can't sell my S advance and buy Galaxy Nexus, i have no choice but to wait for the jellybean update which will be coming soooooooooooooooooooon :( Thanks again!
