Swapping SD cards-possible problem

My Hero has a 4gb SD card, I need to d/l some stuff onto a different SD card I use for another device, but I don't have access to a PC. So I was thinking of taking my phone's SD card out and sticking my other SD card in there so I could d/l some files I need onto it.

What I want to know is, upon switching SD cards out and turning my phone back on will it start writing a bunch of crap files to the card. Such as media, dowloads, ringtones all those root files and such.

There wont be any of that, all that is on the few meg on the internal storage, except for maybe the ringtone which you should set to the normal ones that came with the phone
