Switch from VZW to Sprint (my current contract with vzw is only in its second month)

I am totally attracted to this phone, and sprint is ALOT cheaper for more. Any way to cancel current contract to move to sprint

You can always cancel, but you will have to pay the early termination fee. I am not familiar with what that is for your current carrier, but usually is it around $200+ dollars. It remains to be seen if the 3D is going to be worth the hit. :D

If you're on a Smartphone, expect the $350 ETF minus $5 for every month you're into your contract. Besides that, there is no other way out. I'm waiting to jump ship from big red too. Thankfully, that EVO 3D is already on its way to me, courtesy of BSOD and the fine boys in yellow.

Sprints ETF is 200, but (unfortunately for many) Verizon and ATT charge something ridiculous, like $350!

To the OP: If you have a nice phone with VZW, you could probably sell it after canceling and make up most of your ETF fee's. And, think of this way, You will most likely make all those Verizon ETF fees back within 4 to 6 months of being on Sprint. :) I doubt you will regret it!

In addition to selling his phone to recoup some of the costs wouldn't he get the $125 credit if he ports his number? That would help as well.

That's is a good point, but that deal expires on 4/16.... Unless it gets extended. So if you are waiting for the EVO 3D, the deal most likely will have expired by that time.

+ add up the savings of sprint over 2 yr contract.
+ $125 port... make sure you qualify.. being that verizon is so new.
+ sell of your current phone on craigslist
- $200 for price of new sprint phone.
- $350 eft from verzion

so... how does it look? is it worth it?

NOTE: make sure sprint service in your area is good!!!!! and fast enough for you! LTE is currently very very fast compared to Wimax.
