Root Switch Roms BHII RomMgr. or ODIN?

Hi guys

I'm relatively new to Android on a BHII running Behold 2 1.6 ( No Twiz w/ Busybox & Rooted Kernel ) which I flashed using ODIN.

I'm now wanting to try Galaxy 1.6 as well as Factory 1.6 for comparison before settling on the best ROM for my needs.

Is it currently preferable to use Rom Manager Premium to backup my existing setup, then use it to flash to Galaxy, etc. or can I only switch roms on the BHII using ODIN? The Galaxy install, with fixes for example, looks beyond the scope of Rom Manager.

Effectively, I'm wanting to recover or restore the desired ROM as simply as possible, without the need to reinstall apps, reconfigure settings, etc.

Thanks for any direction!

I may have answered my own question. Have installed Rom Manager and I obviously need to install ClockworkMod Recovery to proceed - doesn't seem the behold II is supported under phone model. I'm not finding a manual way to install this, either. Looks like I'll have to backup my SD and switch using ODIN.

I have a BH II and I think the Galaxy S9000 I think is the one that worked for me? Don't quote me and try on your own terms, but so far, the Galaxy recovery ROMS will work with it.

And if you figure out how to "ghost" your roms, (flash as you left it) lemme know cause I can't get it either, haha.

Will do.. I'm only a week or so old in the android world, so I'm just learning as well. Although for failsafe, I did my backup in adb, and then made a quick odin package with cygwin. But I'll check that out.
