Switch to a prepaid voice plan and keep unlimited data

Trying to save as much money as possible while I'm unemployed so I was looking at switching to a prepaid plan. The problem is I want to keep my unlimited data plan. While I don't use the voice much (mostly for emergencies and for employers to contact me) I still use the data a lot. Anyone have any idea of how I would approach this or if it's even possible?

I think that's a no go. I have family in your boat, I feel for you. You should be able to drop any additional lines to prepaid and at least keep yours on unlimited if that is what you need. I wish I could offer more help.

Currently verizon's prepaid plans offer unlimited data. Admittedly prepaid isn't grandfathered necessarily though, so if verizon changes the terms you may lose unlimited, but right now prepaid plans on verizon do still come with unlimited for $30 a month. Or are you talking about keeping on postpaid but just dropping a line in a family plan to prepaid and making your main line individual postpaid or something which is what it sounds like pupkact thought you are doing.

Currently I'm on a Individual plan (300/450 something) with the grandfathered $30 unlimited data. I pay month to month; never doing contracts again after dealing with att. I basically want to data to stay as it is but have just prepaid voice. I'd be willing to go with a cheaper voice plan but I think I'm already on the lowest they offer.

I think VZW also limits what phones can be put on a prepaid plan you you would need to make sure yours qualifies
