On the Galaxy S5 I was able to switch from a fingerprint lock to another type of lock (PIN, pattern) or no lock at all. When I wanted to return to the fingerprint lock all I had to do was turn it on. I did not have to re-register a fingerprint.
The Galaxy S7 forces you to re-register a fingerprint every time you turn it off (or so it seems). There are times I want to go to a no lock screen (when I am using my phone in a sports armband for example), but when I want to change back to the fingerprint lock I have to re-register my print.
Am I missing something or is this the case?
