Switching between Fire and cable

Ok, folks...a basic newbie question. Is there an easy or quick way to switch between normal cable tv operation and the Fire TV box? Right now I'm going to the tv set up functions in order to select the HDMI port. TV is a Samsung. Thanks.
 
If you have only 1 HDMI input, no. You can convert one of the sources (cable box or Fire) to a different type of input (maybe your cable box has component or RF outputs), but one of them is going to be inferior video quality.

If you have more than 1 HDMI input, put each one on its own.

Either way, use the Input button on the TV's remote to switch between them.
