Switching between (foreign language) keyboards -- Android Pie

I used to be able to switch between my G-Board and a Farsi keyboard very easily. Anytime the keyboard was displayed, I could touch the keyboard symbol and choose.

But since the Android P upgrade, that's exactly where the gestures icon is. Does anyone know how to switch between them ?

On my Nougat Gboard there's a globe-like icon that's only shown when I have at least two languages selected in the Gboard settings. Assuming Gboard is essentially the same in your Pie upgrade, perhaps only the default language was retained and the others deleted?
If you go into your Settings menu, find the Gboard option, and reload Farsi, that icon should be visible again. (Also note in the Gboard settings menu, in the 'Advanced' section there's a 'Show app icon' option so there's a Gboard icon in the swipe-up App menu. Just something to make accessing the Gboard settings if you're so inclined.)

Also, just as an aside, I found some of the shortcuts in this Gboard tips article to be really useful:
