Help Switching between themes using launcher?

I'm new to the Android world and am experimenting with launchers and themes. I've noticed, when I apply a new theme, I have to "start again" with my icon placement.

Is there a way to leave everything in place and just switch the theme without having to set everything up again?

Thanks!

Home manager by Carp is located in the play store. Works very well.

What launchers? With go launcher I can change themes and NEVER have to start again

I'm actually using Go Launcher. I have my screens set up the way I like them in TouchWiz and then when I switch to a new theme (using Go Launcher) my screens are all empty.

Maybe I'm missing a step?

You're not switching themes when you switch between TW and Go.
Of course you must start over.
You need to find a TW-based theme for Go from the market.

Ok, I think you might have cleared things up for me a bit. So, when I switch between launchers I have to start again. When I switch between themes within a specific launcher, the icons stay in place. Right?

So, is there any way to transfer icon setup between launchers?

Thanks for the help so far guys!

This.

If you change themes in go, it keeps your hike screens. But those homescreens belong to go. Its a different app. Much like you wouldn't expect your top score in real racing 2 to be transferable to dead trigger. Both games, but not the same game
