Switching from iPhone to Samsung

I have owned a iPhone 4 and just switched to the iPhone 5 about nine months ago. My father's contract is up and he is eligible for an upgrade. He said he would take my older iPhone, which has always been in a case, and i could use his upgrade if i wanted to. I want to use the upgrade to switch to the Samsung Galaxy S4 but i worried it would be a tough switch. Is there anyone who has switched that could tell me their experience or others who could offer any advice? Thank you for your time and help.

It's not a giant learning curve. I went from an iPhone 3 to a Samsung Infuse 4g (unofficially the "S1") a little over 2yrs ago. They are both touch-screen interfaces with on-screen keyboards. The only thing that might taske some getting used to is the degree of customization that is available in Android, and the fact that app icons are not "in your face" when you turn on or unlock the phone. They are hidden away in the app drawer, and you drag shortcuts for the ones you use frequently onto your homescreen(s). Go for it!
