Switching Phones Online Error

I want to switch to another device that I already had. It should be simple right? Well I follow the dirrections: enterring the IMEI and SIM but then when I get to the change Plan page it just wont load, it just loads infinitely. What gives? And I try dialing the *611 and it tells me to call from the phone I want to switch to but how do I do that? The phone can't make a call.
 
Call 1888metro8 and tell the agent. Metros new bulhockey. Never got a call back for the survey
And did it twice in 2 weeks.
 
I never had luck with using online device switching either.

My wireless SIM# is fine but it always says invalid SIM#.

I just call from working phone and talk to the agent. Automated voice may try to trouble shoot saying turn off/on phone, connect to wireless stuff like that then just say 'proceed' or 'next' to bypass.
 
the only time that "online" has worked for me, was back before the days of SIM cards.

all phones had an IMEI and you just entered that and wallah! it works.

now, I call CS and have an agent fix it.
