Switching Soon - LG Marquee or HTC EVO Design

Well my prevail is almost a scrap heap. The charging port is almost useless, I get random reboots, and warranty is long gone. Its time to upgrade soon.
So by the end of this month ill either switch to the Marque or Evo. But I need opinions first. So if anyone has any SPEAK NOW LOL!

Aside from the (substantial) price difference?

The Marquee is a nice phone and it has good battery life. It also is a very light phone. My daughter said that it feels "fake" but she's used to heavy phones. She has the iSheep 4s.

The Evo design is a very sturdy phone. It has HTC's unibody build. If you're not familiar with it you can pick up a Evo 3d or any of their phones built after the 3d. They all have unibody designs. They feel very study in your hand. They're heavy. If the unibody has an advantage over standard design then I'm not aware of it, they still break if you drop it.

The Evo design has one advantage over the Marquee. It has a SIM slot. If you travel overseas then you can pick up a local GSM SIM and put it in and use it. Meaning you'll have the same phone overseas as you're used to stateside. If you're not a traveler then the point is moot since you cant use it with local GSM networks.

Both those phones have their own sections in Android Forums. You might want to mosey over to their subsections and take a look see over their sections to give you an idea over which phone would be best for you.

speaking from experience, right out of the box you,ll need to root and install cwm and ct mod or marky beats with the hyper kernal. this will give you a decent phone. on the other hand the design comes out of the box working like a decent phone hardware is better with 1200mhz clock software is better ics vs gingerbread on the marquee. also comes with sense 3.6. i put my marquee down and got the htc right after release. loving it. hope this is helpful.

In the simple form of questioning; Do you want to stay with Gingerbread, or have ics when you upgrade? Marquee= gingerbread, while Evo Design 4g= ics.
