swype .apk keeps downloading??

just upgraded to the new Swype. downloaded the new installer and it's working fine. Today I noticed that the installer apk has downloaded 3 more times without me doing anything? I saw another similar thread from back in September but nobody had any fixes. Any clue??
 
Open up your browser, you may have left a tab open that redirects you to the download. At least that is what happened to me!
 
...or window, depending on the browser. If that's the case the solution would be to make sure that the browser tab/window is closed once the download starts.
