Swype not installing on magic, going insane..

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. This driving me crazy. I don't know how I can root my phone and not know how to install the most basic app. When I download the zip file and extract it there's no single .apk file to copy to the sd. There's a .apk folder but no file. Where is the file hiding? Help.

I feel your pain, trying to do the same on a sprint hero. Did you ever figure it out?
