Swype problem

Of course I love my new Android phone and enjoy using the swype app. that I downloaded..
However cannot figure out why I need to use the space key key when I text and no else. Is this an issue for anyone else, and if so, is ether a solution?

If you open up any app (email, messaging, search box, etc) that uses a keyboard and touch the Swype icon in the lower left corner you will get a pop-up with three options ... choose 'options' and make sure auto-spacing is checked.
