Help Swype

every android can get swype, even if it isnt stock.

my opinion on swype tho is rather negative, i tested it on my phone but it really isnt as convenient as you'd think. qwerty with 2 thumbs will never be beaten.

I checked out the swype website and it appears they are no longer testing the beta. I did note in my I5801 in 'Locale and text' there is a reference to swype but I can't turn it on

@Clarks Have you tried long pressing on any text entry field (i.e. new SMS) and selecting Input Method, and from there you should be able to select Swype.

It has swype built in.
however i've installed SlideIT as you can record shortcuts where upto 5 letters can be typed that pulls up the full phrase yo associated with it

eg ie have recorded "em" and it types out my full email address.
or un and it types out my normal username.
Very useful

Jeff
