sync android calendar over usb

Hello,
I look for a way to synchronize my calendar (on my droid) from my Outlook on my professional laptop over USB. For security reason I am not allowd to use synchronization "over the cloud" and I have to use Microsoft Activesync on my laptop. Which apps should I use on my droid to synchronize with Microsoft Activesync over usb? And should I install special drivers on my laptop to communicate with my droid (T-mobile Pulse)?
Thanks by advance,
Liniushka

Liniushka,

Is using Activesync a must? I ask because unfortunately it's not fully supported on Android at this time (see here).

That said, CompanionLink (the company I work for) has a secure sync solution. We've developed a PC application called CompanionLink for Outlook that can be used in conjunction with our Android app, DejaOffice, to allow for the synchronization of Outlook data. With CompanionLink for Outlook, you'll be able to securely sync your Outlook calendar (as well as contacts, tasks, notes, & categories) via USB to your Droid, and vice versa.

CompanionLink for Outlook sells for $40, but comes with a 14-day free trial. DejaOffice is a free app available in the Android Marketplace. I definitely recommend trying the two out before buying to make sure it is a good fit for you. And, of course, if you have any questions on either of the applications, just let me know!

You should also check out SyncDroid - they have a great database of Android sync apps with a very helpful chart to compare your options. Hopefully this helps!
