I am not able to synce samsung galaxy I9000 mobile contacts to gmail. I tried with accounts & sync option but nothing happened. pls let me know.

Hi there and welcome to Android Forums. 
Import the contacts from your sim card to the phone itself (or SD card if the phone won't allow it) by going to Contact > Options > Import/Export and then try Accounts and Sync from there. I imagine it will create .VCF file that you could then import to Gmail.
