You can find a comprehensive spreadsheet of the Outlook synchronization options on Syncdroid.net. Note that the "Wireless" column means mobile data (like 3G or 4G).
Most solutions require an Outlook plug-in that syncs Outlook's calendar to Gmail's calendar, or another calendar server (like Hotmail.com/Outlook.com, or CompanionLink). Some solutions require software on both the PC and phone (like MyPhoneExplorer) and direct (close-range) PC-to-Android synchronization over USB/LAN.
I use the Hotmail.com/Outlook.com method because it automatically syncs bi-directionally anywhere and it doesn't require an app on my phone.
