Synchronizing Calandar, Contacts & Tasks w/ out the cloud

Hello, I am looking at upgrading to an android phone. :o

It was suggested this RAZR forum might provide an answer for my question.

I have a question about synchronizing calendar. contacts & Tasks from desktop to an Android phone. I would like to forgo the convenience of the cloud and keep the safety of synchronizing these items from desk top to the android mobile platform. I have heard that the Motorola Razr Maxx may be able to do this. :)
 
HTC phones like thunderbolts come with a free synch tool/applicatio that allows synching via USB to MS Outlook without using any cloud services.
