I have an EVO. I synch it to my Exchange SErver for email, contacts (people), and events. The Contacts information is supposed to be my default People. The data in my Exchange Server database for both Contacts and Events is derived from a third program, which is a rather complex practice management program. I have just upgraded versions of that practice management software, which required me to CLEAR my Outlook contacts and reload with the updated version of the database. I have concerns about what will happen when I next synch my EVO. I hope that EITHER all the contacts will be recognized as the same, and nothing will happen; or it will see that all the old ones were deleted, and clear them out, and put in all new ones. I am fearful I will just get duplicate entries both in the EVO and the Exchange Server. Does anyone know which result I am likely to get? If I am at high risk of duplicates, can I just clear the data in all my contacts? I tried that before unsuccessfully as well. Or I could do a reset of the phone, as I don't have a lot of other important data or programs at this stage to worry about.
