Your Galaxy Tab and Galaxy phone both have the capability to sync to Google Calendar. This actually auto updates all devices that are connected to Google Calendar, even your PC or Chrome browser.
You should just confirm that your Google Calendar is syncing. Under Settings - Sync - youremail@gmail.com - you should find a list of Google services, including Calendar. Make sure the box is checked on both devices.
