Syncing Calendar with World Cup

don't know about the app but here's an easier way. i downloaded this iCal (.ics) file for my mac, you can either try to sync a mac to google calendar (if you have a mac) or simply import the .ics file into google calendar (go to settings / import).

That didn't work well for me, I just ended up googling "FIFA world cup google calendar" and added it to my google calendar which auto sync'd with my phone. I did basically everything you said, just without your document.
