Syncing music with Windows Media Player

Hi
I am trying to sync my music library with my Galaxy S3.

In Windows Media Player 12, I have the My Music folder added to my WMP library. I connect my phone and set up sync with my sd card inside the phone.

When I click start sync, it immediately says sync succesful but has not transferred anything.

Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Thanks

Out of curiosity because of this thread. I've just tried syncing music using WMP to my Lenovo ICS phone, it works OK. However, I did find the phone must be in MTP mode rather than USB disk mode for WMP to see the phone as a WMP compatible device, e.g. an MP3 player.

This might sound a bit obvious, but did you select any songs to sync with your phone?

If i may suggest, you could use Google Music Manager to upload music to the cloud then you would always have it there regardless of whether you switch phones or not. The upload time can take longer than the Moving to your phone, but i find it worth the time just to have my music on any phone or computer when i log into my Google Account :)
