Syncing Outlook Tasks

I have now had my Desire for over a month and very happy with it so far except for one small annoyance. I'm a heavy user of my Outlook Tasks and am desperatly trying to find an app that allows me to sync my Outlook Tasks with my phone and add/amend for either side.
Anyone know of a suitable app?
 
I should have also mentioned, i am happy for it to sync with my Outlook via a USB cable, i don't need it to be wireless.
 
It's not free, but Dataviz' Roadsync for Android *will* sync Outlook tasks via an exchange server (2003 or 2007) to/from your Android phone. It will *also* sync email, contacts and calendar, but I am only using it for tasks on my HTC Incredible.

There is a 2 week free trial on the Android marketplace after which it's a $9.99 charge, but as tasks are the very last piece of the puzzle completing my migration from Palm OS 5.0 on a Treo 755p to my HTC Incredible, I will doubtless purchase it if, as has been so far, the synchronization continues to be so slick.

I wouldn't use it for contacts....apparently you'll end up with a 3rd set of contacts on the phone ("Roadsync contacts") and even if you have exchange contacts they may not sync back unless via Roadsync. Plus, without widgets, you're basically going "through" Roadsync to get to email, contacts and calendar, whereas the *only* way to get to tasks is via RoadSync.

Do you know if Roadsync can synch tasks with Outlook rather than Exchange?
 
I've just did it thru Toodledo.

I've downloaded the Todledo tool to sync Outlook with its online service. Then used Got to Do Lite to sync with Todledo.

It takes time because the Outlook > Todledo sync can be made only a few itens every 15 minutes.

Since I have almost 1000 tasks, it took a LOT of time.

But now all my Outlook tasks are being sicronized with Android.

Hugocbp i must admit that when i saw your solution i did think it was a little long winded and didn't have much faith in it working, nevertheless i made a note of it to come back to. I have just followed your advice and owe you a big apology. This solution works a treat. I have finally found a way to sync my Outlook tasks with my mobile. You've made my week. Thanks.
 
New Milestone. Has anyone found a product that successfully and reliably synchs Outlook between a PC and the handheld - without Exchange?
 
Hi pdixon, just wanted to send a quick response to your question. I'm currently using a product called gsyncit which allows me to do just what you are asking. It allows me to sync my Google contacts, calendar, Tasks, & Notes between Outlook & my Android phone, all wirelessly, I might add. As with most apps, it has its quirks, however, when it works, it works well. You can go to www.gsyncit.com for more details. It's not free, however, you get free updates for life. Hope this helps.
 
Hugocbp- thanks for your post. Can you explain your setup in a little more detail? Which sync tool for Toodledo did you use? Are you using Outlook 2007 with an Exchange Server?
What is the purpose in using Got To Do in addition to the Toodledo? Can Toodledo not be accessed on an Android phone?

I have a new EVO 4G, and I'm an avid user of Outlook Tasks, Notes, and Microsoft OneNote... but want to have these available on my phone as well.

I have got Hugocbp solution working perfectly. Basically Toodledo is an online Task manager software, but this can sync with Exchange via Got To Do on your mobile. But this only works with Tasks not Notes as far as i can see.

Thanks MAzboy. Did you use the Chromatic Dragon sync tool for Toodledo?

What makes me a little nervous is that I already have plug-ins for Outlook to sync with SugarCRM and Cozi calendar. They sometimes cause conflicts with one another. I'm hesitant to introduce two more into the mix. But like you, I'm really missing having my tasks on my Android phone.
