Syncing outlook to droid x

RRCINC

Please help! Got a Blackberry Bold(gonna shoot it) Considering Droid X,Only just recently transferred (manually)data from older Palm Treo to MS Outlook. Tons of contacts especially my notes, etc. Want to transfer EVERYTHING to a Droid BUT I don't feel comfortable with this data sitting on Google servers. Was told to look at CompanionLink AND DejaOffice. Will this work? Transferring the data, leaving it on my PC and NOT on the Cloud? And,will I continue to use MS Outlook on the desktop or does DejaOffice use their version instead? Aargh, my head hurts. Please someone, I need help before I go totally insane.

From what I've read companionlink is hit or miss, and for $40 I want to know it works for certain before I buy it, that's why I haven't.

For your contacts you can export them to a file from Outlook, put them on the Droid sd card and import them.

As far as notes, I have a lot too. I changed them to word docs and put the ones I have for work in Google docs, the personal ones I have on my D2 and my PC only.

If you have an OWA server or active sync look at touchdown for 2.0/2.1 it had a free trial before you have to take the $20 plunge

RRCINC,

CompanionLink and DejaOffice will transfer your Outlook data to and from your PC to your Droid X. You can sync contacts, calendars, tasks, notes, categories, etc. via USB, local WiFi, or our Secure Hosted Wireless sync service. All of these options keep your data secure and nothing is every stored in the cloud.

You'll continue to manage all your data in Outlook on your PC, and on the Droid X you'll use DejaOffice. What CompanionLink for Outlook does is bridge the gap between these two and sync the data.

As pool_shark mentioned, CompanionLink for Outlook is $40 (DejaOffice is free). We do offer a 14-day free trial, however, so you can try it out to ensure it is the solution you are looking for.

Let me know if you have any more questions!
