syncing with outlook, filtering by categories

I've just switched from a Blackberry and am starting to regret it. I have a lot of contacts in my outlook and they are assigned to different categories, i.e, friends, family, business 1 contacts, business2 contacts, etc. It works nicely and with the BB, I was able to sync only the contacts (filtered by category) I want. I don't want all of them in there. I've looked everywhere and cannot find any software, 3rd party or otherwise that will do this. Has anyone successfully done this?? If so, how? I'm ready to trash this thing.

Have you tried the HTC Sync software. I did not have mine categorized already though. I categorized all my contact in my phone then used this sync software to sync with outlook. All the contact transferred to Outlook with the categories intact. Not sure if this is what you are looking for though.

HTC SYNC has no customization options whatsoever for outlook. It just imports everything. The same goes for music. No ability to import playlists and maintain the playlists as playlists.

This will not help you with your music but have you checked out Deja Office for your outlook stuff?

Not sure if you can choose which to sync, but you should be able to change which ones you view by changing in contact settings.

On the X you can choose to view certain categories of contacts. Does the I2 have that maybe? Anyone tried to configure multiple exchange accounts?
