T-Mobile $30 Plan & It's Phones

So I've decided that by the end of June I'll be joining TM. I'm looking forward to the $30 Plan with 100m, Unlimited Text & 5GB of Data. I use on average about 150-200 minutes a month (sometimes) & about 2GB of data a month.I don't mind paying extra if I go over, because of the of the conversion being 10Cents per minute.

Currently I'm on VM with the Optimus V and my grandfathered $25. I got it at lunch, and it has been an amazing experience for my first android phone. Sadly I've grown to be a power user and need a new phone.

I looked into the new HTC Evo V 4G (AKA EVO 3D), even though its a much better phone I personally don't like the 3D whatsoever. I would have been fine with the Original Evo instead.

Now, I'm looking for phones to choose but I can't find something that I like. Budget is not a problem, so I'm looking for something nice that I like.

I wish I could get the HTC Evo 4G LTE, because its such a perfect phone! Micro SD Slot, 8MP Camera & a dedicated Camera Button. A lot of my friends recommend theSamsung Galaxy S II or the soon to arrive Samsung Galaxy S III problem is that I really hate Samsung & its TouchWiz.

The HTC One S is a wonderful phone in its self, but I don't like the look and the fact that it doesn't have a dedicated Camera button is a deal killer for me. If Sprint had better plans I'd go for it, but I'm only willing to spend no more than $40 a month.

I don't even know...anyone care to chime in?

I am not sure if you know this, but the Evo 3D is only used to take 3D pics with. It isn't part of how you view things on the actual phone.
Also, the 3D option for the camera can be switched off if you don't want to take 3D photo's.

The Evo 3D/ Evo V has a 3D screen used for viewing 3D photos and videos ;) It's stereoscopic 3D screen like on the 3DS.

@OP as far as T-mo phone go you could get a SGS2, HTC Amaze, HTC MT4GS, Gnote (AT&T version with T-mo radio flashed), or Gnex and depending on what you wanted someone could help you figure out which of those would work better for you.

Edit: Also I think only the Amaze and MT4GS have a dedicated camera button out of them. The Amaze has a bigger screen so you may want to look into that if you want a bigger screen, or the MT4GS has a physical keyboard.

Thanks for the replies :D

Okay, I fully understand how the Evo 3D works (I've used it enough), but I find it useless because of the double 5MP & its 1.2Gz CPU. If I'm gonna drop $300-$400 on a phone, I might as well get the best for me, and the Evo 3D is not it.

I looked into the HTC Amaze and it really is amazing, lol. It has everything I'm looking for, I checked if it was getting ICS. It appears that it has been updated to ICS! Oh boy, I think I found my phone! Haha!

Yea, I've had bad experiences with Samsung so I abstain from it, even though there's a bias I still prefer HTC's UI over Samsung's any day.

So I checked T-Mobiles coverage and its perfect it for me, pretty much everywhere I go to in RI has coverage & in MA. Thanks guys, I'll getting my new HTC Amaze soon! :D

HTC Amaze (Just looked through a bunch of video tests and the video quality really is great, but the audio is down right terrible! That's very sad...hmm. I'll keep looking into it but I'm Amazed (lol) that the audio is THAT bad.

Audio on my Amaze is pretty good in all respects. Call quality on earpiece or speaker is good, audio for music is nice, and I'm picky.

Whatever you decide it may be in your best interests to try to get a device that operates in in the 1900Mhz band as well.

From the looks of it most of the newer T-Mobile devices are capable of operating in the PCS band.

Supposedly they are on track to refarm a lot of their EDGE network by the end of the year.
I think that is optimistic but we do know that they are hitting those cell sites really hard trying to get them upgraded.

From what I have read the Amaze is equipped to do HSDPA on 1900 so that would work on their expanded network.

I don't think that there is a single GSM phone in the world that can't operate on the 1900 Mhz band just so you know ;)
