Help T Mobile and Exibit II 4G Wifi Tethering

Hey guys ,

Does anyone know if T Mobile would not allow someone to use WiFi tethering to their computer, for example, on the $30.00 Walmart exclusive prepaid plan? If someone tried it with an app like EasyTether would they lose their service, and/or is T Mobile's legalese against it? I know that they allow WiFi tethering on their $70.00 plan and have no qualms against that, but I cannot personally afford that plan right now.

Don't know if this helps or not cause I bought these phones then signed family value contract, but, I rooted my phone. There are more apps available that can hide tethering. I tether my tablet all the time without adding the 15 dollars/month tethering charge.

I don't think you would lose your service, at most you'd be blocked from tethering again with the hotspot purchase page. That's after you find a workaround from the current method they have of blocking hotspot without paying.

This phone works just fine for hotspot, I've rooted it and frozen the tethering manager with an App that prevents it from starting. I can now tether all i want and so far have had no issues. However, I only tether in very few cases and don't use alot of data while tethering. So it may depend on how much data you use as well that will give them a hint on what you're doing.

Been tethering for a few months no issues. Again i don't abuse it, just when in the car and the kids need an ipad connection and for light browsing. I typically use about 2-3Gigs per month on the value plan.

Im on the 5gb of 4g and use it all every month with tethering. Have been since the plan first arrived.

I was using pdanet but sometimes my browser would pop up with a friendly tmobile reminder to buy tethering.

Downloaded foxfi from the play store and have only had that problem once more in say the past 4 months. I just uninstalled foxfi and reinstalled and everything was gravy
