T-mobile coverage?

I'm currently a Verizon customer and I've pretty much decided to buy the galaxy s2 full retail and switch to one of their monthly 4g plans. But I've been reading a lot of bad things about t-mobile. Bad coverage, dropped calls and loss of data connection, etc.

I realize there are always complaints regardless of carrier. So I just want to hear for actual t-mobile customers if all the bad talk about t-mobile is justified or not.

I've had T-Mo for 13 years and always had good coverage in my area. But with any carrier coverage is highly dependent on your location. For a rough idea of what to expect in your area go to T-Mobile.com and check out the coverage maps.

I'm in a city where T-Mobile has enabled their HSPA+42 network, and Verizon has completed the rollout of their LTE coverage. I get faster data speeds with my Galaxy S2 than my friend who has a Thunderbolt, although his speeds are nothing to be ashamed of either.

There are a lot of issues involved in answering your question; too many to be able to be of much help. One is that the coverage varies from location to location. People in my city get great coverage with T-Mobile, but in your location they may suck. On the other hand, even if they suck now, check out what their plans for your location are.

And then there is the device. T-Mobile has two "4G" speeds: the original, HSPA+21, and the latest, HSPA+42. Of all their "4G" phones, only the Galaxy S2 and Amaze can take advantage of the higher HSPA+42 speeds.

You need to do your local research to find the answer you need. Reading about coverage on the net will give you comments that are worthless in your area.
