T Mobile Hack Causing Problems

Have a Galaxy Note 4 that has just started acting funny, restarting on it's own, slow response to touch screen actions, bluetooth suddenly disconnecting and won't reconnect, screen freezing. Have a son with an older iPhone having trouble with his also, lives with us, it's a model 5 and a service tech at Apple told him his issues might be related to a hack occurring through our service provider, T Mobile.

I recently purchased and installed a new battery from a trusted source and didn't experience any issues with it, I'm at a bit of a loss, anyone have any common experiences or advice?

Thanks,
Mike

T mobile hacking seems less likely than hardware problems here..

I'm assuming that you've backed up both devices and tried a factory reset?

Thanks for the response. No I have not done a factory reset, I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to the backup part and i'm not real concerned with my son's phone as he is 22 and should be able to handle his own issues although I will pass the info along to him. Is it possible this phone has reached the end of it's life or do you think doing a factory reset would extend the life? I'm happy with the phone and don't have the desire or need to get the latest greatest device.

It's possible its expired.... Or on its way to expiring... In which case making sure you have a copy of those photographs phone numbers, documents showing etc is a really important thing to do...

.... If it's just software clutter and digital mess from the last x years, the a factory reset would make a difference... And confirm if it's hardware or not..

But you need to make sure you have everything before you reset
